Hi, Photography has been a strong influence for my whole life, I received University training in the subject 20+years ago and have been selling photographs to the public for over 16 years, in particular, landscape images.
Learning my trade with film and in the darkroom, I developed a good understanding of the technical side of photography and while living in the Pilbara region of Western Australia for some time
I developed a passion for natural landscapes. You can’t beat being alone on a beach before dawn watching and waiting for the light to come, it’s magic.
About Our Photography
Photography has really evolved in recent times and it has become far more accessible to people than ever in the history of the subject. I for one was very reluctant to believe that digital was up to the task as early digital was lacking in many areas. When I finally decided to go digital it opened up photography for me and gave me new options and easier control over my images, and no more stinky dark rooms!!
Although the ability and tools are available to me to heavily change images, I believe a technically well taken image is an essential starting point, and I try to keep my editing to the things that I may have done when I was in the darkroom… plus a few cool things that you can do with digital.
